Subtitle Editor Position
Job DescriptionAre you passionate about content localization and entertainment? Do you have a keen eye for detail and excellent written English skills? We are seeking a freelance subtitle editor to join our team.
About the Job:
- As a freelance subtitle editor, you will be responsible for creating subtitles or English templates for English videos.
- You will perform thorough quality checks for subtitle language mistakes, technical errors, and other issues (including simple reformatting/offsetting of timecodes).
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and engaging subtitles that enhance the viewer experience.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure their vision is brought to life through the subtitles.
Requirements:
- Excellent command of written English.
- Excellent listening skills to decipher spoken English in various slang and/or accents.
- Familiarity with TV series, movies, and cultures would be advantageous.
- Positive attitude, proactive approach, and resourcefulness.
- Able to work within limited time constraints and adapt to changing priorities.
