Job Summary

Treasury and Trust Risk Management Officer

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the Bank's treasury and trust risk management processes are effective. As a Treasury and Trust Risk Management Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling risks arising from treasury and trust operations.

  • Risk Monitoring: Assist the MRM Team Head in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks related to treasury and trust operations.
  • Market Risk Analysis: Perform market risk monitoring, analysis, and report generation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • ICAAP Document Completion: Support the MRM Head in completing and delivering the ICAAP document covering market risk.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Daily monitoring and reporting of Treasury risk profile covering Position Limits, Stop Loss Limits, Management Action Trigger (MAT), Treasury Overriding Limit, VaR Limits, and Counterparty Credit Risk Limits.
  2. Periodic monitoring, based on approved frequency, of Trust risk limits for UITF and discretionary IMA/TOFA accounts.
  3. Monthly updating of PSR factor used for counterparty credit risk monitoring.
  4. Perform monthly stress testing of the Bank's FVPL and FVOCI bond portfolio and Net Open FX Position.
  5. Perform semi-annual stress testing of Trust UITF and IMA/TOFA portfolio.
  6. Perform quarterly review of VaR back testing results conducted by Treasury Ops and Trust Ops.
  7. Lead the completion of monthly reports covering Treasury Risk Profile and Trust Risk Profile to the ROC, as well as quarterly reports to TCOM.
  8. Support the completion of ICAAP covering Market risk.
  9. Support the completion of the annual audit of the Bank's Financial disclosures covering Market Risk.
  10. Support the policy review and development related to trust and treasury processes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any business-related course
  • Preferably with relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, etc.
  • 1-3 years cumulative experience in Market Risk Management, Treasury, and Asset Liability Management
  • 1-3 years experience in a bank or financial institution
  • Preferably with experience in performing VaR calculations
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
