Job Summary:
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable database systems. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client service and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust database architectures to meet business needs.
  • Monitor and maintain database server health to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Provide expert-level support for database-related incidents and issues.
  • Implement new database releases and upgrades to maintain competitiveness.
  • Develop and maintain reliable backup and recovery processes.
  • Streamline tidal job setup and execution to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient weekend maintenance activities.
  • Design and implement automation tools to enhance operation efficiency.

Your Profile:

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Exhibit ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Show willingness to adapt to flexible work arrangements, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Hold a relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Technical Requirements:

  • Expertise in Linux, Bash, Python, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, MariaDB, Kafka, Cassandra, and DataStax Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of Tidal Job Scheduler and database performance optimization techniques.
