About project:

We are looking for a Database Administrator for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the SQL Server infrastructure in operational conditions, ensuring stability, security, and high availability while adhering to support processes.
  • Build, deploy, and manage current and future SQL Server platforms, ensuring that database environments align with business and performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and handle problem management, diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective resolutions.
  • Support reporting and communication efforts, providing stakeholders with critical database insights and system performance updates.
  • Implement automation via scripting, streamlining database operations and improving efficiency in routine administrative tasks.
  • Ensure proper documentation, creating detailed procedures for Level 2 and Level 3 support, allowing for smooth troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor and maintain database stability, response time, operational consistency, and lifecycle management, ensuring optimal performance of SQL Server databases.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, including database design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, with a focus on PostgreSQL, ensuring expertise in managing relational databases.
  • Work in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition.
  • Strong experience with SQL and T-SQL, especially working with complex joins, Agent Jobs, and linked servers.
  • Experience in SQL Server installation, administration, setup, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Azure.
  • Strong experience in operational support, ensuring continuous database uptime and resolving performance issues.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework.
  • Knowledge of servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
