We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geographic Compliance and Corporate Counsel Manager to join our team at TASQ Staffing Solutions. This role will be responsible for providing legal support to our Corporate Functions and other areas on local & global legal matters, acting as Legal POC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal issues related to bringing software products to market in a legally compliant manner, including offerings utilizing machine learning, third party data.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal support to the company's Corporate Functions and other areas on local & global legal matters, acting as Legal POC.
- Provide legal advice and guidance and respond to inquiries made by various internal teams such as Workplace Solutions, Marketing & Communication, HR, Corporate Citizenship, CIO, IT and business teams, among others, on their daily operation.
- Provide Legal advice and support various areas of the company as subject matter expert in the Compliance area, supporting with local Ethics & Compliance matters, Anticorruption, Competition Law, Regulatory, Data Privacy, company's policies, Intellectual Property, conflicts of interests and reviews of Codes of Conduct, among others.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and with the company's global and local policies and processes.
- Flag compliance risks in the day-to-day of the company's operations.
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent degree or legal qualification.
- Admitted to the bar (or local equivalent) and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law.
- 4+ years legal experience of relevant attorney work, including:
- Functional understanding of legal issues related to bringing software products to market in a legally compliant manner, including offerings utilizing machine learning, third party data.
- Technology transactional experience either in drafting and negotiating technology focused client facing and/or vendor facing agreements, in a law firm or in a fast-paced in-house legal department.
- Working knowledge of: (a) data and security privacy issues; (b) IP law; (c) open source licensing; and (d) general product development considerations.
- In-house experience.
- Interest in technology and particularly in new technologies such as artificial intelligence.
- Experience of training other lawyers.
- Product liability knowledge.
