Job Title: Senior Medical Coder for Primary Care

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Medical Coder to join our primary care team. This role requires extensive experience in coding for primary care services, along with a thorough understanding of medical coding guidelines and regulations.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have expertise in accurately coding diagnoses, procedures, and medical services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

This role involves conducting thorough reviews of patient charts and medical records to verify the accuracy and completeness of coding and documentation.

Additionally, regular coding audits will be performed to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to coding standards and clinic policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of medical coding experience, preferably in a primary care or multi-specialty clinic setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and primary care procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and coding software.
