Developing high-performance web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-based architecture requires a deep understanding of PHP development. A Senior PHP Developer with expertise in managing AWS infrastructure will play a crucial role in our team's success.

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer who can design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter). This role involves implementing RESTful APIs, integrating with third-party services, troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing existing PHP applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using PHP, implement RESTful APIs, and integrate with third-party services.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing PHP applications, deploy and manage applications on AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront), and write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeDeploy, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, ensure scalability, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement auto-scaling strategies, backups, and disaster recovery solutions, monitor system health using AWS CloudWatch, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement secure coding practices to protect against vulnerabilities, ensure applications follow high availability and disaster recovery principles, optimize application performance through caching, load balancing, and database indexing.
  • Lead technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and conduct code reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience - 5+ years of PHP development experience with Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch), hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment tools, knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices, familiarity with Python or Bash scripting for automation is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex systems, excellent communication and team leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, and handle multiple projects.
