Cloud Data Solutions Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Data Solutions Engineer to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining complex data solutions using Azure services, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and performance.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end implementations, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive best practices in cloud data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines and integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with external service providers during solution implementation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability across all stages of the ETL lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
  • Apply data management principles, including data lakehouse architecture and best practices aligned with DAMA capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or further studies in Data Science/Analytics is an advantage.
  • 4-8 years of proven experience as a Cloud Data Solutions Engineer or similar role with a focus on the Azure Data Platform.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Experience integrating data from enterprise platforms such as SAP and Salesforce.
  • Relevant Azure certification: DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate) or AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and cloud-based ETL development.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with DAMA data management principles is an advantage.
