Job Description

Senior QA Automation Engineer Position:

  • As a senior member of our QA team, you will be responsible for independently and cooperatively understanding business requirements.
  • You will architect, design, and implement a reliable and scalable automation framework for a real-world machine learning platform.
  • Automating tests to ensure functional requirements and performance KPIs are met is also part of your responsibilities.
  • Ensuring high product quality through rigorous functional and API level tests is crucial.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs as required.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Providing technical and group leadership to fellow team members is essential in this role.
Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, and API automation works, Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in using the ROBOT automation framework with Python is necessary.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python and/or J2EE technology or equivalent OOP paradigm is required.
  • Experience with automating test validation either via API or through database using Snowflake, HIVE, or AWS Athena is highly desirable.
  • Knowledgeable in Git workflows like branching, merging, and conflict resolution is a must.
  • Understanding of Agile testing methodologies is required.
  • Web application testing experience is required for both frontend and backend validations.
  • Technically well-versed in developing comprehensive test plans covering business use cases and test cases is essential.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, and SQL, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with container-based solutions is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills are a must.
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks is essential.
