Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to manage our financial transactions, ensure accuracy in accounting records, and provide valuable financial insights to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions for real estate properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Utilize specialized software to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts using cloud-based bookkeeping systems to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry standards, and applicable regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Real Estate Accounting or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with specialized accounting software (e.g. AppFolio).
  • Strong skills in QuickBooks Online or similar cloud-based bookkeeping systems.
  • In-depth understanding of real estate financial workflows, including rent collection, owner payouts, and property expense tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
