Engineering Leadership Role

About the Job:

We're looking for an experienced engineering leader to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading engineering teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality results while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Execution & Delivery
  • Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical prioritization to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Drive a consistent and high-quality development process across multiple engineering squads.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and product managers to translate strategic goals into executable engineering work.
  • Identify and resolve architectural or technical debt issues, escalating to Principal Engineer as needed.
  • Team Management
  • Manage and support a team of software engineers, creating an environment where they can do their best work.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations, and provide timely feedback and coaching.
  • Collaborate with engineers' technical leads or mentors to ensure ongoing growth and capability development.
  • Process and Quality Improvements
  • Implement and refine lightweight processes that enhance engineering velocity, quality, and reliability.
  • Champion code quality, test automation, observability, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with security stakeholders to ensure operational discipline (SOC2 readiness).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Customer Success to ensure a clear understanding of customer needs and technical implications.
  • Provide visibility into engineering progress, risks, and constraints.

About You:

  • You have 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in engineering management.
  • You have a strong technical background in modern web development.
  • You are familiar with cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.
  • You have experience working in high-velocity teams that ship iteratively while maintaining high standards.
  • You are a clear communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
