Senior Software Development Team Lead

This role is an opportunity to lead a team of engineers in the development of Python and Golang micro-services that power our global software distribution engine. The successful candidate will be responsible for building clean web service APIs to support both CLI and web frontend clients, using Python (and optionally Golang).
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading modern, agile software development practices, forming a healthy, collaborative engineering culture, and being a role model for sound engineering principles. They will also be passionate about mentoring, developing, and growing people, with a track record of doing it.
A strong understanding of software development, particularly in Python and Golang, is essential. Experience with Linux system administration is also required.
The team works remotely, and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a distributed team.
We are looking for someone who is technically strong, yet able to run an effective team and develop the colleagues they manage. The ideal candidate will be fluent in the programming language, architecture, and components that their team uses.
