Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced content strategist to support our special coverage team in creating impactful live journalism events, podcasts, and other digital content around critical global convenings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior editors to shape how we show up to and cover key moments in global development.
  • Conduct research on issues that matter to our community and help develop ideas for interviews or panels.
  • Help bring issues to life onstage by identifying and recommending speakers who can discuss complex challenges in global development.
  • Manage speaker correspondence, including confirming speaking details and preparing event materials.
  • Provide strategic support to senior editors, including seeking and managing external speaking and moderation opportunities.
  • Work closely with teams to ensure content flows smoothly from concept to execution.
  • Maintain meticulous organization of project timelines, deliverables, and communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong editorial judgment and experience editing and curating content that resonates with global development audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including building relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in journalism, editorial content creation, or event management.
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, with clear and concise language.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with content management systems and tools.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
