Database Architect Position

We are seeking a seasoned database architect with expertise in designing and implementing scalable database systems. This role involves ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our databases across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and other objects to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to best practices in database design and technology usage.
  • Monitor database systems to guarantee security, uptime, and performance, and assist in refining data models and structures.
  • Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and system reliability.
  • Implement, manage, and monitor Azure Data Factory pipelines to ensure availability, performance, and data security.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows SQL Server 2016 and above.
  • Proficient in handling incident and service requests related to database systems.
  • Solid understanding of database architecture, design principles, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience in managing and monitoring Azure Data Factory pipelines.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Administration.
  • Familiarity with database migration from on-premises to Azure cloud.
  • Knowledge of Business Central database structure and admin tasks (adding objects, attributes, data updates).
  • Awareness of MS Fabric EDW and other cloud-based data platforms.
  • Exposure to other database technologies or cloud platforms is a plus.
