Investment Advocate

About the Role

We are seeking an Investment Advocate to support our team in advancing policy reforms that promote greater foreign investment in the country's audiovisual industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve our advocacy objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategy to achieve our advocacy objectives and execute same;
  • Identify champions in Congress, key stakeholders, plan and execute engagement/outreach activities in pursuit of accomplishing proposed reform;
  • Liaise and communicate with key legislators, personnel in relevant organizations, develop and maintain networks and relationships with key public and/or private sector stakeholders;
  • Monitor legislation and track reform progress, committee meetings, key stakeholder positions and other legislative developments and activities related to the project;
  • Participate in and provide technical support during briefings, meetings and other organized activities;
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities reasonably requested.

Your Qualifications

  • You must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in a relevant field, a Master's degree is a plus but not necessary;
  • You have at least three years of work experience, preferably in Congress or with demonstrated knowledge of Congressional processes;
  • You are willing to work part-time (you can work remotely but should be available for face-to-face meetings when safe and necessary);
  • You are computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point), web literate (including familiarity with online project collaboration tools and social media platforms);
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills, you are diligent and can work with minimal supervision.
