Senior Financial Operations Specialist

The Billing Business Analyst plays a pivotal role within the billing operations team, ensuring seamless client month-end billing tasks. This position fosters collaboration with various Apex teams, including accounting, treasury, client service, operations, compliance, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule Management: Assist in preparing, validating, and analyzing data to guarantee timely and accurate results for month-end settlement processing.
- Project Participation: Actively engage in firmwide and departmental projects, including the implementation of the new billing system, to drive innovation and improvement.
- Business Requirements: Collaborate with the Project Management and Engineering teams to capture and document business and functional requirements, enabling the conversion of manual billing tasks to automated processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements, suggesting changes to streamline operations, enhance workflows, minimize risk, reduce manual interventions, and eliminate inefficiencies where possible.
- New Client Setup: Complete billing setup for new clients based on specified terms detailed in signed contracts, ensuring proper billing rate configuration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field, preferably in a clearing or brokerage firm, is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, NetSuite accounting system, SQL, and experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker) are highly desirable.
