Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced offshore team member to join our growing accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial statements, tax returns and compliance with Australian regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, tax returns and BAS/IAS.
  • Support Australian accountants and bookkeepers with day-to-day client needs.
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure efficient lodgments.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Enter daily timesheets accurately.
  • Achieve and maintain an 80% productivity target.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a CPA/CA accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
  • Experience with Xero add-ons (Xero Practice Manager, Ignition, FYI).
  • Exposure to SMSF compliance.
Required Skills
  • Ability to prepare accurate and timely financial statements, tax returns and BAS/IAS.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken English to liaise with Australian accountants, bookkeepers and clients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across different time zones and work styles.
  • Time management and deadline focus, especially with ATO lodgments.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • Confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive financial data.
  • High level of accuracy when entering data, reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
  • Ability to spot errors, inconsistencies or potential issues and resolve them proactively.
Working Hours

38 hours per week between 9:00am-5:30pm AEST, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00am-3:00pm AEST Friday, with a 24-minute lunch break. Alternatively, you may extend your working hours by 30 minutes each day, mutually agreed with the company.

Travel

Our offshore team meets quarterly for functions twice a year in Pampanga, requiring travel for team bonding.
