Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Publishing Assistant to help manage the development of children's books from concept to publication. As the founder's right-hand collaborator, you will coordinate with freelancers, monitor project timelines, and ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage book creation processes, collaborate with illustrators and ghostwriters, and support marketing efforts.
  • Review and provide feedback on drafts, organize files, and maintain documentation.
  • Assist in promotional activities, including content preparation, advertising, and outreach; help strategize and execute marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience collaborating with creatives, proactive problem-solving mindset, and familiarity with children's book content and trends.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark, graphic design tools, or basic book formatting.
  • Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products.
