Accounting Operations Leader

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is required, with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification being a plus.

  • We are looking for a seasoned accounting professional to oversee all aspects of our company's financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports, adhering to accounting standards and company policies.
  • This role involves leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring comprehensive and accurate financial reporting.
  • Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets.
  • Achieving tax planning and compliance, and ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
  • Coordinating and managing internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Collaborating with other departments to support business operations, strategic planning, and decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve overall financial performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within accounting, with a background in a large accounting firm preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc.).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
