The Policy Compliance Specialist is a pivotal role that ensures organizational policies and procedures are current, systematically reviewed, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Policy Governance & Compliance
- Serve as the lead curator of all policies and procedures across the organization maintaining an indexed master library of current and archived versions.
- Track enforce review cycles coordinate timely updates re-approvals ensure policies reflect current practices compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Policy Development Stakeholder Engagement
- Draft new policies procedures based on leadership directives changes in regulatory requirements distribute draft documents to relevant stakeholders incorporate suggested changes.
- Prepare finalized documents for approval publication in the organization's official policy repository.
- Regulatory Reporting Oversight
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar of required reports for licensing funding accreditation entities coordinate with assigned departments timely generation submission.
- Track submission status ensure accuracy completeness of report contents.
- Governance Meetings
- Schedule recurring meetings compliance quality assurance performance improvement risk management create agendas track attendance document minutes follow up on action items.
- Policy Inquiry Response Gap Resolution
- Provide accurate responses guidance to staff at all levels regarding existing policies procedures serve as primary point of contact internal questions requests for clarification.
- Bachelor's degree Healthcare Administration Public Policy Legal Studies related field.
- 3–5 years experience compliance regulatory affairs policy management within healthcare behavioral health organization.
- Familiarity Joint Commission Arizona DHS labor healthcare regulations.
- Strong technical writing policy drafting document control skills.
