Job Description

This project entails creating a new Shopify website, migrating content from the existing site, and implementing automated tasks to improve user experience.

  • Create a Shopify website aligned with brand standards using a suitable theme.
  • Migrate and organize content from the previous website, including pages, FAQs, sponsor highlights, event details.
  • Configure navigation, collections, and essential pages for clarity and ease of use.
  • Set up reliable automations tied to key site actions such as contact/sponsor interest forms, ticket confirmation messaging.
  • Document automation flows for smooth client handoff.
  • Apply design improvements to increase readability, mobile responsiveness, and conversion without overcomplicating the build.
  • Optimize page layouts for event highlights, sponsors, FAQs, and calls-to-action (e.g., Buy Tickets).
  • Maintain consistent styling aligned with brand tone; prioritize functionality over heavy re-design.
  • Test cross-browser/mobile responsiveness, page speed basics, forms, and checkout/app flows.
  • Launch the site safely with a rollback plan and clear go-live checklist.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in Shopify with a portfolio showcasing live Shopify builds.
  • End-to-end website creation experience, including theme setup, content migration, and go-live.
  • Hands-on experience implementing simplified automations within a Shopify context.
  • Strong front-end skills (Liquid/Shopify OS 2.0, HTML/CSS; basic JS) for customization and troubleshooting.
