Job Overview

The Construction Project Cost Analyst plays a crucial role in defining the scope of work for project management teams and controlling construction costs. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and organizing all available project information, identifying missing or conflicting scope details to ensure successful constructability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and organize project documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in project scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects, including demolition, asphalt, curb, fine grading, concrete, masonry, steel, framing, glass storefront, HVAC duct, plumbing, electrical components, and electrical conduit/wire.
  • Assist with construction document/plan/spec review, redlining, and requests for information.
  • Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs using Microsoft Excel and existing cost information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in construction, engineering, business management/finance/accounting or similar field is preferred, but not required based on level of experience and aptitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
  • Experience working with commercial construction projects across multiple trades is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
