Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems.

The Cloud Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and deploying cloud-based data solutions using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-based solutions on Azure Cloud Analytics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
  • Conduct knowledge sharing and training sessions to educate clients and internal teams on cloud technologies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 4-8 years of experience in architecting big data solutions with proven track records in driving business success.
  • Strong SQL expertise and hands-on experience.
  • Strong PySpark expertise and hands-on experience.
  • Expertise in integrating different source systems (ERPs, Applications DBs, Cloud Systems, and Sharepoint) using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse pipelines, and ADLS.
  • Good hands-on experience with Databricks and ability to demonstrate use cases for Databricks usage.
  • Good understanding of Unity Catalog and Delta Lake concepts.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and ability to demonstrate various data modeling mechanisms.
  • Exposure to Azure AI Fundamentals.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and data analytics databases.
  • Exposure to working with NoSQL using MongoDB or similar.
  • Experience in converting business problems/challenges to technical solutions considering security, performance, scalability, etc.
  • Experience in real-time data ingestion from live sources using Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, EventHub, and related technologies.
