Medical Case Reviewer Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Case Reviewer to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for reviewing medical cases and providing high-quality opinions.

  • Prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned through the client portal.
  • Review and bookmark medical records, creating a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments, accessing and preparing apps in their computer prior to the exam.
  • Conduct remote interviews with veterans via approved video or telephone conference platforms.
  • Transcribe medical histories based on DBQ answers.
  • Document physical examination findings in DBQ sections.
  • Complete DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment.
  • Meet with medical providers to discuss assigned cases, determining final diagnoses and approving medical opinions.
  • Transfer data from DBQ spreadsheets to the client portal.
  • Submit completed DBQs in the client portal.
  • Respond to queries and addendum reports from clients' QAs.
  • Coordinate scheduled appointments with medical providers and team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), active PHRN license required.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible schedule adjustments as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency in MS applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Assist Lead/Trainer in process improvements.
  • Support creation of process-related templates if necessary.
