Laboratory Professional

Chemist responsible for performing Near Infrared (NIR) analysis and quality control tasks in a leading nutrition company.

• Conduct NIR analysis on raw materials and finished products from multiple plants to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Release NIR results to the Quality Assurance team for acceptance criteria.
• Issue Non-Conformity Reports for nonconforming raw materials and finished products, coordinating with purchasing and production teams.
• Prepare and send samples to external laboratories for testing and BAI registration.
• Monitor monthly control charts and report deviations to the Quality Head.
• Perform various laboratory tests, including mycotoxin, brix, water activity, PDI, and granulation tests.
• Schedule water sampling and testing as per HACCP requirements.
• Receive and process samples, assign laboratory codes, and facilitate transactions related to finished goods and raw materials.
• Coordinate purchase requests with the procurement department.
• Conduct regular inventory of laboratory consumables and schedule equipment calibration.
• Maintain NIR machine functionality, report malfunctions, and keep maintenance records.
• Investigate customer complaints and submit weekly summaries of NIR sample analyses.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Licensed Chemist or Licensed Chemical Technician is preferred.
• Previous experience in laboratory operations is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates may be considered for this role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
