Job Title: Real Estate Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with advanced proficiency in financial management software to oversee the preparation of accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial records for multiple properties or portfolios using financial management tools
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor bills and client payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, trust accounts, and credit card statements monthly
  • Prepare financial reports, draw schedules, and owner statements
  • Monitor and manage tenant ledgers, security deposits, and lease-related transactions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with business leaders to resolve discrepancies and support audits
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and year-end financial preparations
  • Handle tax documentation and regulatory filings as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • CPA or Bookkeeping Certification (a plus)
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate
  • Proven expertise in financial management software (required)
  • Experience managing financials for multiple properties or portfolios
Skills & Tools:
  • Advanced proficiency in financial management software, QuickBooks, and Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

  • Experience with trust account reconciliation and owner draw processes
