Job Description:

  • This Senior Software Engineer role involves developing software programs that meet high quality and efficiency standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop software programs that meet high quality and efficiency standards.
  • Design, code, test, and troubleshoot software utilizing various hardware, databases, and programming technologies.
  • Assist QA in diagnosing system problems and reviewing/repairing legacy code if necessary.
  • Monitor code and environment changes to understand and minimize negative impact on system performance.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, build and release, database, and other related teams to ensure swift and efficient deployment of code releases to live environments.
  • Develop reusable components, templates, code, and libraries.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Prepare reports and analysis regarding issues, incidents in progress, opposing ideas, and recommendations or conclusions.
  • Maintain and enhance subject matter expertise across a range of technology trends and domains.
  • Follow Agile and Scrum best practices to achieve continuous integration and delivery.
  • Translate solutions and designs into optimized code based on requirements.
  • Ensure timely development of systems.
  • Create systematic code to develop solutions.
  • Write release documents for each system release.
  • Test and modify systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Identify faults, diagnose, and fix bugs.

Requirements:

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design optimized for embedded systems.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in software development with technical background and ability to read and write source code across multiple languages.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and deliver successful results.
  • Experience working in cloud and on-premise server environments, integration technologies.
  • Proficiency in systems developed in Java, MySQL, Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Familiarity with basic financial terminology and accounting methods.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, SES, SMTP, Linux OS, Cron.
  • Familiarity with big data tools such as Apache Spark and Hadoop.
  • Exposure to continuous integration, build tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Ant, Liquibase) and scripting.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker and automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications with Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Use of source code version control – Git.
