About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in project management or similar roles with a proven track record of successful IT project delivery, preferably using Agile methodologies. In-depth understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean, along with their principles and practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote team collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage project plans, defining scope by creating user stories, objectives, deliverables, and timelines while ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Team Empowerment: Foster a self-organizing team environment by removing obstacles, supporting team members, and encouraging ownership of tasks.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and managing expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks early in the project and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Monitoring Progress: Use Agile metrics and visual management tools to track project progress and ensure timely delivery of value.
  • Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are delivered first.

Mission-critical Programs

  • Partner with Regional IT Coordinator in the implementation of Global Field-facing products – (e.g., Olive, IOP, and FIMS).
  • Partner with Regional IT Coordinator in the management and delivery of IT initiatives involving multiple entities in Asia.
  • Represent IT for the region in various global workstreams that develop, solidify, and implement ministry-wide initiatives.

  • Development, publication, and dissemination of IT training materials.
