Construction Estimator Role
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
- Analyze historical data and pricing trends to improve the accuracy of estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
- Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing.
- Participate in bid reviews and risk analysis discussions.
- Coordinate with project managers to transition awarded projects into production smoothly.
- Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates.
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred).
- Experience with estimating in various construction types.
- Proficiency with estimating software.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
