Senior Network Engineer Role

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for providing operational support to the global network environment.

  • Provide proactive and reactive support for all network hardware, software, and communication links.

This includes responding to ticket requests and incident notifications, and resolving issues within Service Level Agreements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Project or Demand Managers with network setup integrations.
  • Providing solutions to complex problems with well-planned documentation.
  • Completing Preventative Maintenance activities such as code updates and equipment upgrades.
  • Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Providing technical assistance and support to staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors.
  • Ensuring security and audit compliance.
  • Performing Operational-related Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACD).
  • Adhering to Operational Standards.
  • Complying with Engineering Design Standards and established operational processes.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of operational documentation.
  • Providing Root Cause Analysis for Network Events.
Technical Skills Required
  • Networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VPN, Network Security, and IP Routing Protocols.
  • Cisco Networking Technologies including Routing & Switching, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
  • Cisco Wireless.
  • Meraki Wireless.
  • Palo Alto Firewalls.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of extensive experience in Cisco Networking Technologies support.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical technical knowledge of CISCO Networking Technologies.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
  • High-level technology problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
