Job Overview:

The Local Communications Network Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of local communications networks across PMSP sites. This position requires an individual with strong technical expertise and experience in designing, installing, and maintaining local communications networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of local communications networks
  • Integrate LCN components with surveillance systems, including radar, AIS, EO/IR, and COP platforms
  • Collaborate with ICT/OT, HF/VHF, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient communications
  • Contribute to planning and recommendation of equipment procurement, installation, and long-term sustainment
  • Provide training and technical guidance to GPH personnel on LCN operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in designing, installing, and maintaining local communications networks
  • Strong background in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field
  • Technical expertise in integrating LCN components with surveillance systems
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
