Business Insights Analyst Position Overview

The Business Insights Analyst plays a vital role in driving business growth by leveraging data to inform strategic decisions. As a skilled storyteller, you will translate complex data into actionable insights and present them to stakeholders.

You will analyze large datasets, develop meaningful insights, and collaborate with the data visualization team to create informative reports. Your expertise in statistical methods, SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages will be essential in handling and interpreting vast amounts of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate data into human insights and stories that drive change in strategy and tactics.
  • Analyze complex data sets to develop actionable insights for impactful business decisions.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and actionable insights through storytelling skills.
  • Work with business partners to interpret analysis results and focus on actionable next steps.
  • Develop ad hoc reports to lead to insights and analysis needed for the business.
  • Collaborate with the data visualization team to develop repeatable reporting and data monitoring.
  • Translate requirements into technical specifications for data and reporting teams.
  • Summarize data from multiple sources to communicate insights and opportunities.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis and preparation using statistical methods and handling large data sets.
  • Hands-on experience building reports using Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar tools.
  • Effective communication skills to convey thoughts and information clearly.
  • Take initiative to act and resolve problems independently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to prioritize information effectively.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in day-to-day operations related to department priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related IT/Computer field.
