Job Overview:
- Collaborate with category leads to ensure timely supply of requested items on board.
- Streamline purchase flow processes to achieve desired results, including processing requisitions.
- Maintain daily communication with vessels to ensure prompt information exchange and address queries/complaints.
- Continuously enhance service quality and productivity levels; share best practices across teams proactively.
- Coordinate with vessels, agents, and local ship chandlers for smooth delivery of orders.
- Resolve supply issues raised directly by the vessel.
- Provide feedback to Captain and Superintendent regarding local ship chandler for budget control.
- Process invoices for payment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze requisitions based on stakeholder requirements.
- Comply with available frame agreement prices pre-selected by the vessel.
- Issue the Purchase Order (PO) with all required details (i.e., ETB, agent details) once approved.
- E nsure that suppliers issue order confirmations.
- Follow up on delivery two days before ETB.
- Perform day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure safe and timely delivery of requisitions ordered by the vessel.
- Respond to requisitions raised by vessels in the company's purchase module (Oracle Supply Chain).
- Communicate with category leads regarding prices and deliveries.
- Achieve cost-efficient, safe, and timely operations of vessels in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience in procurement is required; bonus if this experience is from the shipping industry.
- Must be IT literate to work with advanced procurement systems.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to handle numerous tasks within limited timeframes in a structured manner with attention to detail.
- Strong-minded with a robust personality.
