Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Android Software Engineer to lead the development of our flagship app, a top-rated text-to-speech application in the Play Store.

Main Responsibilities
  • Owning critical features and collaborating closely with our design team
  • Driving the future direction of our Android team
  • Enhancing reliability metrics for key functionalities
  • Contributing to discussions across teams - Product, Design, Engineering
  • Reviewing code and supporting fellow engineers
  • Addressing high-priority issues or unexpected challenges
  • Releasing new features and providing nightly builds for QA testing
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Android components and frameworks
  • Experience developing or contributing to at least one Android application
  • Strong product design intuition and user empathy
  • Drive to improve UI/UX and create engaging user experiences
  • Understanding of testing principles and test-writing approaches
  • Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase continuously
  • Expertise in Kotlin, Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • User-centric approach to problem-solving
