Dental Treatment Coordinator

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring seamless patient care and coordination.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage treatment plans, provide administrative support, and ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a patient-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Schedule and coordinate treatment appointments and follow-up visits, optimizing the use of office resources.
  2. Clearly communicate treatment details to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
  3. Manage and update patient appointment schedules, ensuring timely and efficient treatment progression.
  4. Confirm appointments and assist with rescheduling or cancellations as needed.
  5. Maintain and update electronic patient records, treatment plans, and administrative documents using dental practice management software or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  6. Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and pre-authorizations for treatments.
  7. Assist patients with understanding their financial obligations.
  8. Work with billing departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and patient payments.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of any Healthcare Allied Course, Dentistry graduate is preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience in dental or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of dental procedures and ability to educate patients.
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software and EHR systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, research and organizational skills.
  • Typing speed of >45 words per minute preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, working with dual screens, and general computer literacy.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
