Accounting Operations Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Operations Specialist to oversee our accounts payable processes.

This role involves reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices for payment, as well as maintaining relationships with suppliers, resolving payment discrepancies, and handling vendor inquiries. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills, a strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, resolve payment discrepancies, and handle vendor inquiries.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure accuracy.
  • Payment Processing: Initiate and coordinate payments to vendors, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare reports on accounts payable activities, including outstanding balances, cash flow projections, and aging reports.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues related to accounts payable, such as disputes, late payments, or missing documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting experience, or equivalent.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software.
  • Industry Specific Software/Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, etc.
