Quality Assurance Role

The primary function of this role is to plan, design and execute test scripts for both manual and automated testing. Working closely with senior managers, product analysts, developers and other Quality Test Analysts in the team.

This position is accountable for performing end-to-end Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities to ensure product requirements are met and defects are identified and tracked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create/update automated test scripts using HPCC – ECL Language
  • Analyze and record results from manual and automated testing
  • Ensure adequate test coverage is provided
  • Identify defects/anomalies, investigate their cause, document and track these defects
  • Contribute to improving the QA process and quality standards
  • Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Product Analysts and other test team members to complete testing tasks
  • Maintain high quality and accuracy through software release
  • Provide feedback to the development team and ensure work is done according to schedule and quality requirements
  • Determine testing tools and software that can aid QA and maximize testing coverage
  • Support batch production covering client change requests and production job failures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • 1-2 years' experience in software quality assurance or software development
  • Utilized software development methodologies in projects
  • Working knowledge of agile technologies and continuous integration/delivery
  • Experienced in software testing & test automation
  • Experience with working on ETL and Data warehouse implementation projects
  • Previous experience with testing Web services and LINUX shell scripts
  • Logical, thorough and task-focused, with an eye for detail, able to rapidly absorb and apply technical information
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with fellow team members and all levels of management
  • Ability to build and maintain positive rapport with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, and across different time zones
  • Pragmatic, self-directed and self-disciplined
  • Understanding of File Transfer Protocols and compression is an advantage
  • Experience in working in Big Data is a plus
  • Knowledge of HealthCare data management is not required but is an advantage
