Job Title: Data Visualization Expert

Purpose of the role:

The successful candidate will design, build, and optimize data visualization tools to empower public-sector and non-profit leaders to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and adapt visualization tools that bring together various data sources, including student information, finance/HR information, and other relevant data sets.
  • Develop clean, reliable data models that are ready for analysis using SQL and relational databases.
  • Design and implement compelling visualizations using business intelligence software, ideally with experience in Power BI (strongly preferred) and/or significant experience with Tableau.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a role focused on data analysis, including SQL/relational databases.
  • Experience working with data sets in various conditions/formats and which require building relationships across disparate files to create a comprehensive data model.
  • Skilled in cleaning, standardizing, filtering, and transforming data to create datasets ready to be analyzed and displayed graphically.
  • Understands what makes for a compelling visualization, can "tell a story" using data, and can draw insights from large datasets.
