Job Title: Content Editor Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled content editor to join our team in a short-term position. As a content editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and refining technical reports on wild foods and forest plant diversity.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills, a strong understanding of forestry and environmental issues, and experience with editing publications. You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest quality output, adhering to FAO's editorial standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Review draft rapid assessment reports to ensure clarity, coherence, and logical flow of ideas.
  2. Ensure consistency in tone, formatting, abbreviations, and referencing throughout the document.
  3. Refine the structure of the report for readability, ensuring clear headings, subheadings, and logical sequencing of sections.
  4. Conduct a final check of the document prior to publication or submission.
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Communications and/or Journalism.
  • At least 5 years of relevant and certified experience in editing publications and technical reports.
  • Working knowledge (Level C) of English.

  • Only language proficiency certificates from UN-accredited providers and FAO language examinations will be accepted.
