The role of a Healthcare Support Specialist is to provide crucial support to health business owners by assisting them in measuring and training their teams to convert more phone calls into new patients.
- Process internal referrals and add them to the correct lists.
- Schedule and oversee allied health appointments such as physical therapy, kinesiology, chiropractic care, occupational therapy, and eye care services.
Key responsibilities include managing scheduling efficiently, handling insurance claims and billing, and using proficiency with MS Excel and Google Workspace. A strong organizational and time management skillset is essential for this role.
Additional tasks involve booking treatments for approved and private patients, updating patient approvals, denials, and follow-up lists, and assisting with EACR treatment block bookings and LTD approvals.
Requirements include at least 2 years of experience as a Virtual Assistant, preferably in a healthcare setting, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent phone and email communication skills, and proficiency with MS Excel and Google Workspace.
Ideal Candidate Profile:- Experience in healthcare administration or patient coordination is preferred.
