Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished data engineer to spearhead the design and implementation of our cloud-based data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and building server-side components of applications using modern technologies like Python, FastAPI & Pydantic
  • Supporting system design, development, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to high technical quality standards
  • Assisting in defining structured practices for source code management, building, and deployment
  • Designing and implementing efficient data storage solutions
  • Executing meticulous automated tests and troubleshooting applications
  • Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Maintaining version control and build processes using appropriate tools
  • Collaborating with client teams and delivery architects on project execution and timely delivery
  • Writing documentation and guides to facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and contributing to NearForm's tooling and open-source projects

Requirements:

  • Experience as a senior data engineer in an enterprise environment
  • Practical experience working in agile environments
  • Deep understanding of developing real-world solutions and platforms
  • Strong expertise in Python and SQL
  • Production experience with Snowflake platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of ELT/ETL pipelines and toolchains
  • Understanding of relational and document data stores
  • Proficiency in modern testing methodologies, tools, and practices
  • Version control tools, including Git
  • Understanding of security and performance considerations
  • Knowledge of architectural and design patterns in AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Understanding of deployment tools and systems integration
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
