Senior Systems Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement new Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions for clients, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Provide expert technical support during client onboarding, primarily via chat-based support, escalating to MS Teams calls as needed.
  • Migrate client data and applications into Microsoft 365 and Azure environments with precision and speed.
  • Implement, test, and deploy M365 capabilities to help clients adhere to best practices.
  • Review client systems and provide recommendations to optimize design, security, and functionality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation, standard templates, policies, and automation for consistent deployment.
  • Offer remote escalation support for complex technical issues beyond Tier II.
  • Guide junior engineers within the Microsoft support team.
  • Evaluate, research, and recommend tools and technologies to enhance client environments.
  • Manage cloud-integrated solutions, such as cloud backups, MDR, and vulnerability management.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as required.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Proven track record in Microsoft 365 and Azure implementation and support.
  3. Current vendor or industry-recognized certifications in Microsoft 365 or Azure (mandatory).
  4. Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure (including EntraID, Intune, and Security capabilities).
  5. Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing models.
  6. Proficiency with at least two of the following:
  7. Microsoft server and desktop environments
  8. Patch management
  9. Backup technologies
  10. Vulnerability management
  11. Proficiency with scripting/automation (PowerShell or Python).
  12. Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS CSC).
  13. Strong grasp of Active Directory, EDR, firewalls, and best-practice architectures.
  14. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  15. Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
  16. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and mentor others.
  17. Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers.
  18. Familiarity with AI-assisted ticketing and support tools.
