Information Security Manager Role

This position is a critical component of our organization's security strategy, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security standards and protocols to safeguard digital assets.
  • Align security initiatives with business objectives and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits to guarantee adherence to established security frameworks.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats.
  • Maintain and update the enterprise risk register to ensure ongoing awareness and mitigation.
  • Recommend and oversee remediation plans for identified risks to minimize their impact.

Security Operations:

  • Monitor and manage security tools, including SIEM, firewalls, antivirus software, and DLP systems.
  • Lead incident response efforts and forensic investigations to rapidly respond to and contain security incidents.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely patching and system hardening to prevent vulnerabilities.

Identity & Access Management:

  • Oversee user access controls and privilege management to ensure secure access to sensitive data and systems.
  • Ensure proper implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and role-based access to protect against unauthorized access.

Security Awareness & Training:

  • Develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees to promote best practices and educate them on emerging threats.
  • Promote ongoing education on security topics and encourage employees to participate in security-related training and workshops.

Project & Vendor Security:

  • Provide security oversight for IT and business projects to ensure they are properly secured and compliant.
  • Review third-party vendor contracts and solutions for security compliance to minimize potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, risk management, or IT governance.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT.
  • Experience with security operations tools and incident response.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making under pressure.
