Plant Maintenance Engineering Manager

As a plant maintenance engineering manager, you will oversee the regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plant machinery to prevent issues from escalating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute maintenance tasks with minimal operational disruption.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, technologies, and innovations in plant maintenance to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • Relevant experience in plant or industrial maintenance roles.
  • Certification such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is an asset.
  • Skilled in maintenance systems and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends.
  • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and leadership skills.
