As a vital member of our transport team, we are seeking a skilled Canter Driver to join our ranks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all transport vehicles assigned to the team are in good working condition before dispatch. The successful candidate will be required to conduct daily routine inspections, troubleshoot and repair defective parts, and coordinate with the transport officer on any issues or concerns.

  • We are looking for someone who is physically fit, able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, and holds a valid driver's license with specialized numbers 8, 3 & 4.
  • Bosch certification is a plus, but not essential. What's more important is your ability to provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A minimum of one year's experience in a similar role is preferred, but not necessary if you have relevant skills and qualifications.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

Daily Vehicle Inspections

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily vehicle inspections to ensure all transport vehicles are in good working order. This includes checking tire pressure, oil levels, brakes, and other critical systems.

Troubleshooting and Repair

If a vehicle is found to be defective, the Canter Driver will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing the issue. This may involve contacting external specialists or suppliers to obtain the necessary parts.

Coordination with Transport Officer

The Canter Driver will need to coordinate with the transport officer on any issues or concerns related to vehicle maintenance or repairs. This will involve communicating effectively and providing timely updates on the status of repairs or maintenance.
