About the Job

We're seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with deep theoretical knowledge of software testing principles and strong critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate should be a highly adaptable professional that is able to independently analyze requirements, ask the right questions, and be a part of a dynamic evolving team.

The Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing well-reasoned and business-aware test strategies that consider product risks and customer needs
  • Applying a risk-based approach to testing and prioritizing test coverage logically and consistently.

This Role Involves:

  1. Manual & Exploratory Testing
    1. Test case management and execution
    2. Analyzing requirements, business risks, considering edge cases, and being comfortable with feature decomposition
  2. Technical Testing & Tools Proficiency
    1. Demonstrating strong knowledge of web debugging tools, proxy tools, mock data, error handling, and testing
    2. Database data and query analysis for deeper issue investigation API testing Logs analysis, server issue debugging
  3. Self-Sufficiency & Decision-Making
    1. Showcasing strong independent problem-solving skills and the ability to ask the right questions to refine assumptions
    2. Demonstrating the ability to analyze information beyond a 'pattern-matching' approach and making decisions based on business and technical contexts
    3. Proactively identifying gaps and proposing solutions
  4. Process Improvement & Collaboration
    1. Effectively managing test cases and contributing to improving test management processes
    2. Working closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases
