Job Summary

The Financial Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the financial performance of a business. This role combines core finance management functions with financial planning and analysis, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful information for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and manage the annual budget process, including revenue and expense forecasting. Continuously update forecasts based on changes in the business environment.
    • Assist in daily management of finance operations to ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial data.
    • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for executive management.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Oversee the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal company policies.
  • Asset Management and Process Improvement
    • Approve/audit vouchers to ensure correct accounting treatment of all business matters.
    • Monitor asset management controls: accounts receivable aging analysis; physical count of inventory with monthly and annual stock counts; fixed assets through annual verification and tagging.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. A master's degree, such as an MBA or a master's in finance, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 2+ years FP&A experience, including the last 3 years in a management role.
  • Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial/tax regulations.
