The Asia Foundation, in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australian Embassy in the Philippines, is launching a program to examine case build-up and prosecution processes within the Department of Justice.
Program OverviewThis initiative aims to develop training programs for the DOJ by providing valuable insights into current standards and best practices. The Foundation seeks a highly skilled Lead Researcher to conduct research on case development and prosecution, focusing on interagency coordination and cooperation.
Objectives and Scope of Work- Determine baseline metrics for case build-up and prosecution by the Department of Justice, comparing them to existing standards under Department Circular No. 20 s. 2023.
- Design and implement a monitoring tool for field research, as authorized by the Department of Justice.
- Present actionable recommendations to the DOJ based on research findings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing a comprehensive research design and methodology aligned with project objectives.
- Crafting instruments for focused group discussions, key informant interviews, and data-gathering activities.
- Conducting field research and gathering data.
- Presenting research outcomes to the Department of Justice through meetings and reports.
- Facilitating coordination meetings with stakeholders as necessary.
- Attending face-to-face meetings with the Department of Justice during engagement.
- Carrying out additional tasks assigned by the Foundation's Senior Legal Advisor and Program Officer related to this activity.
