Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Home-Based Dispatcher to join our team. As a Home-Based Dispatcher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for closely following instructions and processes outlined by our client, demonstrating strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily driving logs to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact to drivers and management.
  • Assist in ensuring truck and driver readiness.
  • Develop daily plans to balance drivers' health and safety with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads.
  • Implement programs to manage cost.
  • Negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers.
  • Identify special needs of shipment and help drivers get necessary documents.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent; Logistics or transportation degree preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Familiar with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations.
  • Fluent in Excel.
  • Quick and thorough data entry/input background, including Excel and OneDrive.
  • Critical thinking and fast responsiveness.
  • Previous dispatcher experience.
