Job Description">

The role of the Spiritual Director is a key position within our organization, responsible for leading and managing the spiritual ministry. As a senior management member, this individual will serve as the spiritual leader of our hospital, patients, families, and the community we serve.

This position requires a strong Christian faith and prayer life, with the ability to conduct biblical counseling and share the gospel. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the spiritual ministry, developing and implementing policies and procedures to achieve our organizational goals.
  • Provide spiritual counseling and direction to patients, families, and staff, utilizing listening, discernment, and prayer to support their needs.
  • Develop initiatives to deepen spiritual practices among patients, families, and staff, including programs, retreats, and events.
  • Collaborate with hospital senior management and the Chief Ministry Officer to set ministry objectives and strategies promoting integral mission.

Additional responsibilities include mentoring and leading spiritual team members, establishing and modeling standards of Christian conduct, and communicating effectively with department leaders and staff to ensure spiritual care integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in theology or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 2 years supervisory experience as a pastor or chaplain in a health setting.
  • Experience in evangelistic outreach, especially for children and families.
  • Strong Christian faith and prayer life.
  • Ability to conduct biblical counseling and share the gospel.
